Except that I do not want an entire year to fly by and see my kids that much older that quickly, I find that I am looking forward to November 5th. Why that date? It will be the day AFTER elections. The day when there will be no more political/campaign calls to my home.

I just really do not want to see that on my caller id. EVER. Although, these people were at least kind enough to have something displayed rather than “unavailable” or “out of area” or “private” or “blocked.” I will grant them that. Only that.

  • Little Blurbs

    • Today, I finally went to see the doctor. I'd been sick for a while now, but the fact that I was having difficulty swallowing (from swollen throat and glands) and I'd cough so hard I couldn't breathe, I figured it was time to go.

      The verdict? Sinus infection and an ear infection. Luckily, no strep or lung problems. Although, at just about closing time for the doctor's office, guess what started up? Pink eye! Yep. Fun. Lots.... I have to wait until tomorrow to call, because by the time it had really come on, the office was closed.

    • Alex's team played two basketball games today.

      The girls won the first game 18-9 giving them their first win as this AAU team! It was incredibly exciting and rewarding. The second game was a hard fought game and our girls led for much of the game, but in the end, they lost a heart breaker 21-25.

      A great day all in all!
