Sunset
We visited a nice park nearby and were fortunate to catch the gorgeous sunset over the lake.

I find it hard to fathom that June will conclude today for this year. It went by way too quickly. I suppose that is only because we were way too busy? Never.
The weather here in Michigan has been really wonky the last two days. Chilly. Like barely 70 degrees at the END of June kind of chilly. Certainly not swimming weather, that’s for sure!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a tad warmer and then Friday we should be back to where we ought to be for this week.
Other news includes that Alex had her second voice lesson today. She’s loving it. I love that she loves it. Phoebe plays with the lady’s little boy and one of her daughters while we are there, so it’s all good. Me? I played with my iPhone. Told ya. It’s all good.
Today I took Phoebe to get her ears pierced! It is part of her birthday present from us. She has wanted them done for a few years, but this was the year.
She grinned from ear to ear pretty much the entire time we were at the place.
She didn’t cry. She didn’t wiggle. She didn’t roll around on the floor writhing in pain. She merely said, “Ow!” quietly, almost as an afterthought.
Afterwards, we met up with Ray and had lunch. Phoebe was still grinning about it. She didn’t even argue when I said that she was getting the plain little balls for her first earrings. Even after they showed her all the fancy, pretty little ones that were colorful or sparkly. I did promise that she could get something prettier or sparkly (or both) for her second pair when she’s allowed to change them.
Today was Phoebe’s birthday party with our families. It was a nice time for everyone. :) We were also surprised with a visit from Rob, Kira, Henry and Lilly who were in from Colorado for the weekend.
The big news for today is that Alex has started voice lessons with a most fabulous lady! I am so excited to see, well, hear what she does with Alex over the summer!
Afterwards, we girls went to the bank, had a late lunch, stopped at the fabric/craft store and headed home.
Exciting, right?
