Wednesday, Wednesday
I think I’m glad that the week is now half over. Normally, I’d be thrilled, but the second half of my week is going to be busier than the first half. I wouldn’t mind doing Monday over for one more day. Maybe.
This morning I helped out in Phoebe’s classroom. Pretty much it entailed sitting in the smelly back closet (where the bathrooms are also located) tracing hearts for their Valentine’s Day Party project interspered with quizzing kids on their “pre-primer and primer words” one at a time. Fortunately, the closet wasn’t as smelly as it usually it, but I was still happy to get out of it. I really wish I was able to do more involved things with the kids, but I’ll take it.
Wednesday is also lyrical dance class day for Alex. That involves me picking her up from school, a stop at the coffee shop (usually a smoothie for her and a coffee for me) before heading to the dance studio. We have forty-five minutes to pass between school and dance. Typically, I sit in the waiting room while she is in class and, well, wait. Some days I use my iPhone. Other days, like today, I read my book. When class is over, we go straight home so that we beat Phoebe’s bus (don’t worry, we’re not cutting it close…not even remotely).
Most days will end here — at least with activities. Tonight, however, is Actor Roundup part 2 for the Music Man cast.
