Kini's Place

For some reason, I decided to purchase the decaffeinated version of things like coffee this time around. While I had already been buying the decaf teas (since the kids drink it a lot), I kind of wish I had some of the “leaded” beverage lying around!

Both of the girls got off to school this morning in the good way (via bus). Just before lunch time, I went up to Phoebe’s school to help out in the classroom. We did a lot of things today. The most fun was probably when we made snowflakes. I took the kids, about five at a time, and showed them how to fold the paper and where to make cuts. Most of them did really well. Some of them had difficulty in making the cuts through all the paper layers, but they did it!

When Phoebe’s school day was done, we circled the campus to pick Alex up from her school. Wednesdays are science club days so she was out at the same time as Phoebe.

Then we went home. Alex fell asleep on the sofa while Phoebe and I made cheesecake and dinner (tuna casserole). I hope that Alex isn’t sick, although she’s been complaining of a sore throat. Phoebe’s class has another one down with strep throat (that’s five or six in two weeks now). Yay.

I’m calling at least one doctor’s office in the morning. Mine for sure, before I’m completely back to where I started. Alex’s doctor, if she’s sick in the morning. We’ll have to see, perhaps she just needed a really good nap. We can only hope, right?

In the meantime, I am so incredibly tired.
