The upside of fruit flies (that always seem to come with the bananas) is that one of two things happen. Either I make yummy banana bread (from my Gramma’s recipe) OR I peel, mash and freeze the bananas to make banana bread later (or add to smoothies).

Today? We have yummy banana bread. Since I made a double batch, we have one loaf and many mini-muffins.

Yum! However, now the yummy banana bread smell in the kitchen is being replaced by the overwhelming scent of apple cider vinegar (with a couple of drops of dish soap) to catch and drown all the little nasties (fruit flies).

Still… banana bread!
