Preschool Graduation
Phoebe’s Preschool held graduation ceremonies this evening for all the kids who are moving on to kindergarten in the fall.
This morning, the kids all met at the auditorium in the Junior High School to practice going up the steps and getting onto the risers. No parents were allowed to stay and watch. Later, the kids were to be dropped off about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony so that they could practice once more. Again, no audience was allowed.
There ceremony itself was adorable. Their teacher spoke for a moment, then the kids sang a couple of songs. When the songs were finished, they received their diplomas. Each child was called by name, came down from the risers, walked over and accepted their diploma, paused a moment for a photo op, then returned to the risers. When everyone had their diploma, they sang one final song which they sang at the end of every single class day, “it’s time to say goodbye to our friends” for the final time.

Following the ceremony there was a cookies and punch reception in the cafeteria. Some creative soul made these adorable graduation cap cookies:

It is a peanut butter cup (upside down) attached (by chocolate) to a chocolate covered graham cracker with an M&M on top for the button (again, attached with chocolate) and a piped tassel. It was so cute, but really good too!
She was just too cute in her pretty blue and white dress with her graduation cap and tassel. Can you believe she is going to be part of the class of 2021? Yikes.

Happy Preschool Graduation Sweetheart!

Okay, not only are those graduation cap cookies (1) adorable and (2) creative, but now I REALLY WANT TO EAT ONE. (Or twelve.)
Also, that picture of your little girl gives me chills—-can’t you just imagine putting that picture side-by-side with her high school graduation shot? WEEPFEST.
