Today is Friday. That I am sure of. What to write, really, I am unsure. I did some things today. Yesterday, I cleared 9 of my 10 to do items. Today, I think I finished 2 of 10. I did things that were not on the list, that is for sure, but the list items…not so much.

Both girls went to school today. Ray went to work.

I picked up Phoebe from her school and we ventured to the fabric store to search for clear elastic to sew onto her hat for her dance recital. Photos are coming up in two weeks, gotta have that done before then! We drove home, but were caught in the first downpour that occurred this afternoon. Once inside the house, the thunder and lightning started. The thunder was so deafening it made the house shake. That and with the dark skies and the scare the kids are getting at school regarding severe weather, Phoebe was freaking out. The storm seemed to last an eternity, yet, somehow, we did not lose power! *knock on wood*

At the appointed time, we left to pick Alex up from her computer game programming club to head out to softball practice for ‘team orange’ when we got a phone call that practice was canceled due to the weather and rescheduled for Monday. Fortunately, we hadn’t made it through town (our town) so that was a great timed call.

When we returned home, the girls played, Alex played her sax then emptied the dishwasher then they made cookies. Chocolate chip with peanut butter chips and crushed walnuts. We put whole wheat pastry flour in place of the regular white flour. They were really good!

Beyond that and two episodes of NCIS, that was about it. Tomorrow, we have a softball ceremony (for team purple) and an all-day volleyball tournament. Sunday is a softball game (also team purple). Fun times. I just hope it isn’t raining at the softball thing in the morning. That would suck.
