Now, that Alex’s birthday has come and gone, I can safely say what we gave her!

Yesterday evening, we went and met Ray at his work and then drove to the nearest mega shopping district.

“Why are we going here?” Alex asked, mildly annoyed.

“We need to go to Radio Shack,” Ray replied, receiving eye rolls from the now teenager.

We walked up toward the shop, but detoured into Toys R Us. We walked around the store, both girls looking and touching as many things as we could.

Finally, we giggled and said “Happy Birthday, let’s go pick out your new bike!”

She looked at several and finally picked out one that she liked. Surprised? Yes, she was. Happy? She is beyond delighted.

Phoebe was unhappy at the prospect that Alex got a new bike and she didn’t. However, she tried several out. Now we know which one is good for her size and abilities, what it’s called and who makes it. All the important stuff to know to watch out for the sales…

Afterwards, we had dinner at Bi Bim Bab and went home.
