Today we had gorgeous, warm, spring weather. The sky was blue with a few fluffy, bright white clouds floating by now and then.

It was windy. Gusty even.

It smelled like…manure.

The wind was coming from the southwest. To the southwest of us is a cow pasture and their barn. AND, freshly fertilized farm fields. Fertilized with manure.

I have nothing against it. It does bug me that on the first nice spring day that we are home and able to open up the windows to get some “clean” fresh air in, is when the field tending occurs.

Tomorrow, we are going to the park to meet up with some friends. At least my friends and Phoebe’s friends. Alex won’t have any friends there. Ray will be at work.

All in all today was great. Having the northern/northeastern windows open was fine today. We even grilled chicken out on the grill for dinner. I am so excited that winter seems to be over…

…although, I am hearing rumors (and hoping they are hideous rumors and nothing more) about the potential of snow this weekend!?!?!!?! Wha? We plan to get the garden started for planting AND have a birthday party for Alex this weekend. I was hoping for weather similar to today.
