End of the Weekend
Tonight marks the end of a BEAUTIFUL weekend! The weather was awesome all weekend. We, however, were indoors for most of it. Basketball Tournaments. Two of them, each one day long.
Today, the last game was at 1:30 pm, and it was about 35 minutes from our house (yay!) so we arrived home in plenty of time to do some work on the yard. We tried to light the fire pit so we could just toss on all for the fallen tree debris as we picked it up, but it became gusty, and with the wood being kind of wet still, it fizzled out. Ray got the lawn tractor out and got it ready to go with the big “mole masher” on the back. I drove it around (for a very long time) mulching leaves and mashing down the mole tunnels that are EVERYWHERE! I even got rewarded with a slight sunburn. Oh joy. Just enough to get that sunburned head headache.
Then Ray and Alex took a short bike ride. We had a variety of leftovers and veggies and such for dinner. Then, somehow, we ended up watching a million (it seemed like it) episodes of The Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel. It is a cute show, and some of it was actually quite funny. Then we stumbled up the Star Wars marathon on Spike.
Exciting. This week is supposed to have beautiful weather. I am so glad the kids have spring break this week, rather than one with cold, rainy, or snowy weather like a lot of the schools had done.
