Tuesday
This week has original titles, doesn’t it?
Alex skipped track practice again. I know she isn’t feeling terribly well, and her track coach said it was fine as she’d like all the kids to be healthy for the first meet.
The first day of track practice, she really liked it (all week in fact). She even told me that she knows that she will want to quit and that I need to make her do it so that she cannot quit.
This week, I told her that she just needed to get through three days of practice. Monday, she came home and slept. So, okay, get through two days. That’s all. Then she came home today instead of going to practice. Um, alright….
GO TO PRACTICE TOMORROW. It is ONE day. Then they are essentially on spring break for the next week and day and a half. That means no practice (no school), and a lot of sleeping that she can do. That and she should get the schedule/plan thing the coaches were going to hand out to the kids.
I hope she goes.
In other news, Phoebe and I went to a play date today. Instead of the usual indoor playground (aka expensive) place, we all met at McDs and the kids played there. One of the ladies and I did not end up leaving until 2pm (and we were there around 10am)! Afterwards, we came home, and that’s when “home” called my cell phone. It had been Alex saying she was home and not at practice…
Phoebe had ballet class this evening. I am so happy that I didn’t forget this week! Last week, since the girls had had Monday off (for Easter), it did not seem like Tuesday to me. All day it as like that. I finally had realized when it was about 15 minutes after the class had ended. Ooops. So, anyhow, she went to class, they learned more of their recital dance and the parents got to see what they had so far. And, she got her recital t-shirt which was both pink and had her name on the back. All very exciting things. Really!
How was your Tuesday? We saw a little bit of snow and it had gotten colder. Spring can show up anytime now. Oh! And, did you have a nice April Fools day? No jokes were played here by me or on me. I’m not even sure Phoebe knew.
