Happy Easter
It is late, I know, but Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate it (in any way)!
How did you spend your Easter Sunday? Ours was completely uneventful. Boring even, perhaps.
Upon waking this morning, the girls cooperated in an indoor Easter Egg hunt. It involved plastic eggs with jelly bean inside (Starburst, no fooling around here). Once that was completed, they inventoried their baskets which included a milk chocolate bunny, a Dove bunny, and various other treats and goodies.
After that, it became a normal Sunday for us. Lounging around the rest of the morning. Ray left for a while to help my brother pick up house renovating supplies and materials and transport them to his house. While he was gone, the girls and I went to the grocery store, picked up some medication from the pharmacy and dropped off a movie rental.
For dinner, we had pizza. There were no deviled eggs or ham or anything of the like here in this house for this year. It was almost like an Un-Easter for us, but it suited us just fine. This time. I miss the big gatherings and the visiting with other family members and the hoopla that accompanies such an event. Really, I do.
I know you must be wondering why in the world would we have done this? A large part of it is because we spent the whole day at a basketball tournament on Saturday (the leaving the house at 6:30 am kind of all day). We have been so busy, running here, there and everywhere for quite some time that it was such a nice thought of having the “do nothing much” kind of day. Even if it was a holiday.
Tomorrow morning, Ray heads back to work. The girls have tomorrow off from school (as well as last Friday, “Good Friday”). I suppose most of the Easter-celebrating world will be dealing with sugar comas tomorrow as well.
I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Or, a wonderful Sunday! Or, a wonderful Day!
