School Volunteering
Today was Phoebe’s snack day at school. It was also, coincidently (not really), my volunteer day in her classroom.
I have to go on the record as saying that this was the absolutely best time I have every had in her nearly two years of being in this classroom with these teachers!
Most of the time I hate to volunteer to help out there. Why? Because there usually isn’t any direction as far as activities and the use of my being there.
Today, I helped out with various things and pretty much ran the “art” station where the kids made a project to put in their progress books. It was fun, I was busy for the most part, and I felt useful. Woohoo!
Next year will be more fun. Kindergarten! Parent volunteers are not allowed to sit idly around. There is much work to be done. Kids to be assisted. Shoes to be retied. “Next year” will actually start in less than four month!
Four months and my baby will be a kindergartener!
