Weekend in Review
This weekend was a busy one, although we have had busier. Really.
On Friday evening, Alex went to a “Battle of the Bands” at her school. I dropped her off on my way to meet up with friends for a girls night out. It was certainly and interesting show that we went to. The drinks were small and not terribly good, but cost a mint. On the way home, I hit a deer with my car. More accurately, my little Malibu, going pretty slow already on the slick roads, kind of smacked the deer on it’s hindquarters as it ran in front of my car. Not even a dent or anything which is good. I bet those headlight covers cost a mint.
Saturday was an odd day. We loaded everyone up in the truck and headed over to visit Ray’s parents. My Mom works in the beauty shop (attached to Ray’s Mom & Dad’s house) and she gave Alex a much needed haircut. It is very cute, although it looks like she merely has it tucked into her jacket most of the time. Ray also received a haircut from his Mom. While we were there, Alex intended on snagging the drum set from the basement and bringing it home with us. It belongs to her uncle, Ray’s brother. It is now set up in our “office.”
Ray wasn’t feeling very well on the way home. His allergies got the best of him from the cats at his parents’ house and he seems to have caught a cold. He laid down around 5pm and only woke up around 9pm when the girls got loud.
Sunday was all about birthdays. We went to a birthday party at a Hands On Museum for three adorable little people! One turned one and two of them turned two! It was very exciting and we all had a really good time there! When we left the museum, we headed over to my sister’s house for her daughter’s birthday party. She turned three. She and Phoebe usually have a great time playing together, and today was no exception.
Ray still wasn’t feeling particularly well, but felt the need or desire to still come along. We got home close to 8pm and it was a whirlwind to get girls bathed and showered and bedded down for the night. And then someone who will remain nameless suddenly decided she did have homework to work on.
That was pretty much all we did. Not a lot quantity-wise. A huge amount time-wise. We had a good time with it which is the important thing. I hope everyone else we saw did too!
