Earth Hour 2008
I just found out about this really neat “movement” that is building up. It’s called Earth Hour 2008 and it is one hour in which people in cities around the world will all be turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming. More people, towns, and cities are signing up every day. Join in!
Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm. Last year, it was in Sydney, Austrailia. This year, the event has moved into the global realm. You can visit to find out more about the event and hopefully sign up to participate just by clicking on the banner above!
Think about it. It is one hour of your day, of your week, of your month, of your year! Need an idea of what to do while the lights are off? Have a romantic, candle-lit date. Play board games by candle-light, or tell ghost stories with the kids. If you are like the folks here at my house, it may just be the excuse you need to turn in early and get that extra rest you may need!
Just take a look and mull it over. That’s all I can really ask. Please?!?!
