Kini's Place

As you know, from my last post, the girls had a snow day today. Well, really, Alex had one as Phoebe doesn’t normally have school on Thursdays! I have to admit that it was really nice knowing the evening before which prompted me to turn the alarm off for today! Yippee! Now, though, I fear that they will be adding days on at the end of the year to make up for it.

This afternoon, the girls and I went outside to play in the snow. It was fun, but quiet, and way too bright for our un-sunglassed eyes! I really have no idea how long we were out there. I took some photos, but they are in my camera still.

Alex attempted to make a snowman, but even the snowballs did not work out. As wet as the snow was when it was coming down, it had dried out a lot by this afternoon. It was moist enough to stick together in a mound on the ground. That was it. No snowmen, just a snow mound.

I suspect that they will have school tomorrow (oh, I hope so!), however there is one area district that has canceled school for tomorrow already (due to the conditions of the secondary roads). I do love having both kids home, but I think we all want the summer break just as much (maybe more).

As for the sports, I do not know. There was a volleyball scrimmage on Tuesday. No school meant no volleyball practice, or basketball practice on Wednesday. Today, it meant that their season opener for volleyball would not happen. Whether they reschedule or not, I really have no idea today. I’m sure that they will tell the girls at the next practice.

For now, I am off to get some zzzzzz’s.
