I do believe that my iPod Nano has, for all intents and purposes, died.
The click wheel seems to not be working. Oh, it works enough that I am able to perform a reset on it. That is all it will do though.
Damn.

Like many of you out there, I am both frustrated and disgusted that Dish Network continues to show Noggin & The N as a shared channel rather than assigning each their own.
I’ve sent many messages. This is the most recent reply that I’ve received:

Dear Customer,
On January 1st, 2008 Nickelodeon launched The N as a 24/7 channel. The shows that are offered on the combined The N/Noggin channel are the best shows from each of the channels together. DISH Network strives to provide our customers with the best programming available and that is why we made a decision at this time to continue to carry The N/Noggin as a shared channel. Please continue to enjoy The N/Noggin on channel 169.
If you would like to watch The N shows during the day or Noggin at night, with a DishDVR, you can record your favorite shows and watch them anytime you want.
Your business is greatly appreciated and we thank you for allowing us to be of assistance to you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please refer to HYPERLINK “http://www.dishnetwork.com/”www.dishnetwork.com or reply to this email.
Sincerely,
DISH Network E-care
Personally, I am incredibly disappointed that they really think this course of action is the best one. Especially, with the lack of transition between the two networks that exists now. If they really wanted to be of assistance, they would split the networks back up and offer them as two separate channels.
That’s my opinion, yours may differ and that is wonderful.
Scary, isn’t it?
Yes, it is January. Yes, I did title this “Softball.” Why? Because, open gym started today in another town.
Alex’s cousin is one year older and has played softball for quite some time. Alex was invited to come to their open gym, which, by the way, is run like an indoor practice. Two hours long and very active. Alex was informed that she was pretty much doing everything wrong. Her throwing, the way she holds the bat, and her ready position! It was nice, though, since not only did they say what was wrong, someone would work with her and teach her the correct way. Something that has really never happened on the teams that she has been on.
She had a really good time. She learned some things. She wants to go back. She will go back.
We realized that she had played three different sports within a 24 hour period (all with 2 hours of practice!)!!! In January. Bizarre, but cool.
