It is New Year’s Eve, 2007.
Somehow, I feel the need to say something profound. The problem is, I’ve got nothing. Nothing profound, that is.
Tonight we will spend the evening with our cousins’ home. Honestly, I have no idea who or how many will be there, but I expect to have a great time (as always). A few hours ago I noticed that the Weather Service had issued a “Winter Storm Warning” for our area to be in effect from 7 pm this evening until noon tomorrow! Great. 7 pm is when this shindig is getting started.
Other good news? My new camera lens arrived today. Its a Canon 75-300mm f4-5.6 III USM lens. Yahoo! It is a heavy bugger too! The longest lens I had used until this point only went up to 85mm and it is fairly light (kit lens). I am very excited about it though. I had wanted a telephoto zoom for a long time. Only wish we could afford the image stabilization model! This is Ray’s Christmas gift to me this year (after I returned the original, non-USM lens and ordered this one along with a filter to protect it)! Thank you sweetheart! Now, I can take photos of the girls playing their sports (and such) and not have them look like ants.
For now, friends, please have a happy and safe time tonight!
Happy New Year’s Eve!
