Advertising (and frustration)
I have been considering advertising on this site for quite some time now. While I cannot stand the blinking, showy, tactless, dancing, moving ads that seem to proliferate much of the blogosphere lately, I cannot deny that they have a purpose: revenue.
I do not have any pipe dreams about making my fortune off of blog ads, however, little bits here and there would be nice and could eventually pay for a new mouse or discs for the video camera or other little techie things.
I have been considering three main sources: BlogHerAds, Google Adsense, and Amazon Affiliates. If anyone has anything they feel like sharing that would sway my decision either way, I would *love* to hear (er, read) about it! Jessica over at Kerflop did a nice little blurb about blog advertising. And, Problogger is all about making money on blogs. Still, I’m thinking.
In the meantime, I need to redesign the layout of the site in order to incorporate ads. Nothing like motivation, eh?
((An Aside: I am getting so angry over the lost saves. I save. It asks if I’m sure. No post is there. I try save and continue. Same thing. It is very arbitrary (it seems) on when it will actually save, but most it does not. Anyone have any ideas? I had to rewrite this post. Email me!!))

I’m also considering moving from blogspot. But thinking of all the hard work and designing of the site just puts me off because I know I’ll need to spend lots of time doing it being no IT expert. So, for now I think I’ll just stick to paid post.
