It is That Time of Year (again)
It is the time of year when everyone I know seems to get sick to some degree.
Alex has had that goopy cough for a while. It has changed a bit and seems to be getting better. (Yes, she has seen the doctor.)
Phoebe complained of her head aching last night (at bedtime, go figure). This morning we awoke with a fever of 103.2F! Her only complaint, though, was that her head hurt. A lot. Last night, she had Motrin. Today, she had more of the same.
For a few days, I have had a headache. Sinuses be damned! This afternoon, I was freezing. Freezing! I felt like I could not get warm, even though the house was still a nice 70F at the time. On a whim, I took my temperature and wouldn’t you know it? I had a temperature of 101.2F. Nice. Like that is what I need. And, my head still hurts!
Ray has had a headache for a few days as well. I really hope it doesn’t turn into anything else.
I finally pulled out the humidifier out of the basement and put it in the living room (with our corn-fuel stove) and within an hour I could tell a complete difference. The girls each had a small unit in their rooms for a few days already. I had been feeling a bit better with the added humidity…that is, until the fever found me.
Good luck to all of you on staying healthy!

It is hitting everywhere. I’ve already got coughing kids and we had puke last week. I’m just praying that my immune system keeps up this year.
Good luck to you!
