Defining the worth of a person

March 27th, 2007 by Kini

Something to ponder…

How do you define a person’s worth (someone else, not your own)?

Is it by the clothes they wear? The people they surround themselves with? The gifts they give? The home they live in? The job they have? Their bank balance? The acts and deeds they perform?

What do you do if this person is your friend? A colleague? A family member?

What if it is you that is being judged? Have you been told that you are not good enough for some thing, or some place? That you don’t have enough money to get in? Not the right look? Or that you don’t give the right gifts?

How do you handle situations the involve these nuances? Do you ignore it? Do you confront it? Do you just leave and never look back?
